COOKE, Carolyn, Age 79, of Mill Valley, CA, was called home to be with her heavenly Father on August 20, 2026. She was born September 6, 1946, in Vicco, KY to the late Nathaniel and Louise Combs. Carolyn was a devoted mother and grandmother and a cherished member of the Bethesda Temple Apostolic Church for over 40 years. She was known for her dedication to her family and her commitment to serving those less fortunate, retiring from the federal government after 37 years of service.
Preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Combs; sister, Emma Hankins, and sister, Gloria Rucker. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter, Dr. Alisahah Jackson (Corey); grandsons, Auvin and Roman Cole; granddaughter, Destiny Cole-Powell; niece, Tracey Postell (Devin); Cousin, Priscilla Bryant; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Per Carolyn’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mission MSA. Condolences may be expressed online at lp.ferwood.com.
